Solferino

The little village of Solferino (14 km. from the port town of Chiquilà), is worth the fifteen minute drive. Here, in its dense green jungle and charming little town lie the orchid house, the butterfly house, and el Corchal.

Solferino´s Corchal, or forest of cork trees, is the largest in Mexico. The tour begins with a short ride in dune buggy, followed by a hike in the jungle. The explorer is then wisked into the treetops to enjoy travelling by rappel. The trip continues in kayak, through the lagoon into the dense Corchal.

This tour is ideal for the nature lover or adventure addict. An experienced guide will show you all there is to see: exotic flora, wild fowl, and lots of furry, four-legged creatures (sometimes even a jaguar!) Solferino is the place to go to see what the world was like before humans.

The tour includes round-trip transportation and lunch. It is $70 usd per person plus the $50 transportation fee (up to four people.)
